Rotor is a Jakarta-based thrash metal band. Formed in 1991, fronted by Irvan Sembiring. The band skyrocketed its name after successfully becoming Metallica's supporting act for two consecutive days at the Lebak Bulus stadium, Jakarta in 1993.
Although formed in Jakarta, Rotor's debut stage is in the Bogor Hat Park. In a rock performance held by a private radio in Bogor, the thrasher quartet appeared with his metal colleagues from Jakarta, including Atomic and Alien Scream. At that time they still carried the song belonging to the Brazilian band, Sepultura.
Rotor has become one of the best metal bands in Indonesia, until now there is no one that can compete with the speed and ferocity of the Rotor. The year 1992 was a legendary year, because this year the rotor album Behind the 8th ball came out. If you are metalhead, make sure you listen to the Rotor.
